Austin, TX
Best place I have worked in 15 years of aviation
Great management that actually listens, excellent benefits package with full medical and dental, generous PTO, and real opportunities for advancement. The team culture is second to none.
Shift work means you will miss some weekends and holidays, but that is standard in aviation. Overtime is available but can pile up during peak seasons.
Solid company with good growth potential
Strong safety culture, good pay relative to the region, and the training program is top-tier. My IA was sponsored by the company.
Promotion timeline can be slow if your direct supervisor does not advocate for you. Communication from upper management could improve.
Incredible team, highly recommend for experienced mechanics
Excellent pay, overtime opportunities, strong union representation, and the company invests in continuing education. Worked on wide-body heavy checks which is great experience.
Night shift is tough to get off once you are on it. Parking is a bit of a headache at the main facility.
